Knitting pattern for the Balloon jacket, designed by PetiteKnit.

The Balloon Jacket is a heavy cardigan or jacket, oversize with large balloon shaped sleeves. Use it for cold winter days or as a light jacket in spring and fall.

The Balloon Jacket is knit from the bottom up in knit stitches with rib stitch edges. The body and sleeves are knit separately and sewn together afterwards.

We made two variation yarn kits for this lovely jacket. It is available in Önling No 1, soft combination of merino wool and angora. Or in Önling No 2, 100% merino wool. See both kits in related products below.

Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL.

Measurements:

Width: 58 (61) 65 (69) 74 cm.

Full length: 64 (65) 67 (70) 73 cm.

Gauge: 13.5 sts x 23 rows in garter st = 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4 inches.

Suggested needles: 7 mm and 6 mm (US size 10.5-11 and 10) / 100 and 60 cm (40 and 24 inches) circular needles.

Materials: 600 (700) 800 (800) 900 g , knit with 2 thread throughout the work.
